The store is under new management, and has been for a while. I finally decided to give the new owners/cooks a try. Kind of wish I hadn't. I got the Teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The rice was pretty good, but the chicken didn't taste at all like it was Teriyaki. Had a weird taste. Right now I'm hoping it hasn't made me sick. I used to be a regular customer and told them, upon ordering, that I was trying them for the first time since the change. Their driver knows me and you'd think that they'd try a little harder for a good, former, customer to try and get them back. Don't think I'll be giving them a second chance.

Not bad. I thought it was pretty good. And it was cheap. And for the "small" size, they give you a good portion. And would you believe the chicken actually taste like chicken! Thats a big thing for. For under $6, you can get chicken and broccoli and rice and an egg roll. I will be back!

Best Chinese in the area! I've been looking around I finally found one! Though there are some foods on the menu not so great, their general tso chicken is off the hook. I highly recommend it. The fact that they have an option of white meat is a plus! But stay alway from the king pao chicken and egg foo young. As I didn't really like the dishes.

If I could give negative stars I would. I should preface this by saying I have not tasted the food; reason being, they never processed my order. However, they were quick to charge my card. I placed an online order through Yelp, processed/verified by EatStreet at 12:00 on a weekday; the delivery window was 30-60 minutes. I got a confirmation email shortly thereafter and checked my credit card online; sure enough, it had been processed with full payment, including gratuity. At 2:00 PM I called them to find out where my order was. After being put on hold several times and speaking to at least three people, I was finally able to get across that I had: 1) ordered online 2) already been charged 3) waited to know the status of the delivery They first told me that they didn't have the, "login for online. Can't do it." They then told me they don't do online orders for lunch. I was told that I could reorder and come at dinner time and pick up my food. Having absolutely no intention of reordering, being charged a second time, and then having to pick up the food myself, I told them I wanted a refund. After being passed around again and having one of them try to take my order (as though I was a new caller wanting food), I gave the payment info to someone who promised they would refund the card. I'm positive I won't be refunded the $30+. I'm not going to bother with any constructive criticism of the restaurant or their system, as they seem to have no knowledge of basic technology and probably aren't aware yelp reviews even exist. So let this be a warning to anyone considering ordering online. To be honest, I probably wouldn't trust them to properly execute a call-in order either, regardless of it being delivery or carry-out. For what it's worth, the food might be decent; but I'll never know. Never, ever, again.

Meh, really really dull and mediocre food. I ordered online and the delivery was prompt. But that's about as much credit as I can give them. The steamed dumplings were really salty inside and really doughy outside. Like eating an underdone piece of bread with a little salty pork inside. I ended up throwing out the Kung Pao chicken. The chicken was so overcooked it was unbearable to chew and the peanuts were put on it raw. Not at all toasted. The only decent thing I ordered was the hot and sour soup. But it was really light on both the hot and the sour. I ended up adding some of my dumpling sauce because it needed more vinegar and salt. I wouldn't bother ordering from here unless you are starving and have nothing else to eat. I mean, it was cheap, but I ended up throwing out the majority of the food I ordered.

Here it is... Im live in Denver and I craved the Egg Foo Young from here. I visit DC every few years and it is not nearly as good as it used to be. Ive heard people say Management changed and the delivery driver stayed the same... What a shame. Changing management was cool but not changing the food... Just not nearly as good.

The food I ordered from Eastern Carry out was nothing special indeed. The shrimp and cashews was like mush, so much so that you couldn't really tell what was shrimp. I also ordered the Cleopatra chicken featuring white meat chicken that was over cooked, dry and hard to the point that sauce made no difference at all. My son always loves beef and broccoli, but this one was just mediocre. The order took one hour to get to us from a place less than .04 miles away. This may be picky, but they didn't have any drinks to offer either. Overall I was left with that unsatisfied "I should have just gone to the store and had food for a week" feeling.

Be careful, be very very careful. The delivery is quick as is the indigestion after the meal.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
